     Advertising on the internet is a whole new realm for me.  I began in 2006 when Cabot in partnership with the Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association developed the Essential Buyers Guide.  It was a great opportunity for a small scale wood products producer like me to get my name out beyond my community.  The Essential Buyers Guide is still a great beacon of advertising for me and has spurred the creation of this web sight. There is irony in the relationship between Cabot and the Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association for me.  I am both a member of the Cabot family of dairy farmers as a full time dairyman and a member of the Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association as a part time wood turner. 

     Professional membership is important to me because it is such a huge resource of information.  As I mentioned in the “about us” page I am a member of the Granite state wood turners.  I am also a member of the American Association of Wood turners.  Both groups offer a quarterly periodical, group discounts, and every other month meetings to share information and techniques.
